Many real-world data problems could be solved easily with ideal data – the problem’s complexity is often in extracting that ideal data from the raw data. The goal of this workshop is to expose attendees to important text-related tools in JMP to help solve real problems. Four general areas are covered: extracting information from text columns, finding and fixing incorrect text values, aggregating data, and summarizing information. Specifically, this presentation covers basic Formula Editor functions (such as Substr, Contains, and Word), Recode, regular expressions, pattern matching functions, and Text Explorer.
